TT: It’s not just a car site
Toledo Tuners is much more than a car site. In fact, it’s probably less of a car site now than it was when it first started. And that’s not a bad thing. It’s just a sign of the times we live in. Over the years, Toledo Tuners has evolved from a forum built strictly around cars and tuning to a site where people from all walks of life can come together to talk about cars, guns, racing, and anything else that comes across their mind. Toledo Tuners is now a social site based around the common interest in cars and not a car site just for “car guys.”
A lot of people have established some good friendships through Toledo Tuners. Of course, there have been a few bad apples along the way, but a lot of communities will have that. One of things that the TT “regulars” (and I use that term loosely) like to do is meet up for a cookout, to grab food or grab some drinks or just meet up to get out of the house. We don’t need a car show or event to bring members together.
For example… every Tuesday night at 7:00, members meet downtown Toledo at Quimby’s at the Park. Tony, the manager, and Molly, the waitress (or mule) have made it a pretty cool place to come and grab a beer and dinner. With $5 sandwiches and fries and $2 Yuenglings, you can come out and meet with some members, have some good food and drinks all for under $10.
Since the site “relaunch” a few months ago, I’ve been encouraging all of our new members (and even some of our old members) to come out to the weekly meets. It helps make the community that much better. So come on out if you aren’t busy on a Tuesday night. We’d love to see everyone down there!
